How does it work?

Follow the links in your confirmation email or Download the App – Search for “Social Scavenger” in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android).

• Join a Game – Enter the code that you received in your confirmation email. 
• Follow the Clues – Each challenge gives you a clue or task that leads to the next spot.
• Take Photos and Complete Tasks – Earn points for creativity, teamwork, and discovery!
• See Your Score – Compete with other teams or just enjoy the experience at your own pace.
• No tour guide or fixed schedule — Just you, your team, and a little bit of friendly competition!

Where does the scavenger hunt take place?

The hunt covers downtown Tamarindo, including the beach area, roundabout, main street, and local landmarks. You’ll explore safely within walking distance of Tamarindo’s most popular attractions.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing:

• A fully charged smartphone with internet/data access
• Comfortable shoes (you’ll be walking around town)
• Sunscreen and a hat
• Water (stay hydrated in the Costa Rican sun!)
• Swimsuit and towel if you want to take a beach break
• And of course — your sense of adventure!

Do I need to book ahead of time?

Nope! The scavenger hunt is available anytime. Once you’ve downloaded the app, you can play instantly — morning, afternoon, or sunset.

However, if you’re playing as a large group or event, we recommend contacting us in advance so we can help coordinate your experience.
